Part of The Un-Becoming series:

 "Shedding"
Is about recognizing the necessary loss of the old versions of ourselves that no longer exist. In the acceptance that we have changed and the old versions we hold on to can only hold us back from truly living in our new "skin"

This piece symbolizes the recognition that there is beauty in change and looking back is just comparing yourself to the ghost of you. A version that no longer "is". Sometimes this growth feels sad, like a loss, and others it feels like you gained access to the person you actually are now. Either way, it is both validating and freeing to let the old "selves" go.
